A man is charged with attempted murder and a weapons offense in connection with a shots-fired incident nearly two months ago.

A residence in the Village of Barrets Run Apartments in the Bear area was hit by gunfire early March 15th. A bed in the home was damaged, but an adult and a juvenile were not injured.

New Castle County Police said investigators determined that 26-year-old Emanuel Greaves of Wilmington intentionally targeted the residence. He was found Friday in Troy, New York, according to the New York / New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force. County Police requested the assistance of the U.S. Marshals in locating and arresting Greaves. Task force members had a residence in New York’s Capital Region under surveillance, and took him into custody Friday.

According to the NY / NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force, Greaves “had a history of a firearm-related offense and was considered armed and dangerous.”

Greaves will be extradited to Delaware to face charges.
