Possible human remains were discovered just paces from a Queens park, police said Tuesday.
A set of bones were found among some bushes near Sutter and North Conduit Aves. in Ozone Park just a short distance from Tudor Park, about 10:45 a.m. Sunday.
Police confirmed that “skeletal remains” were recovered. The NYPD is awaiting the results of an investigation by the city Medical Examiner to determine if the bones are human, if they can be identified and if a cause of death can be established.
On April 7, a badly decomposed body was found near an off-ramp of the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway. The remains were found in a vacant storage area under the Exit 41 ramp of the BQE that feeds onto Northern Blvd. in East Elmhurst.
It wasn’t clear if those remains were those of a woman or a man — or how old the person was, officials said.
