TOWN OF ALEXANDRIA, New York (WWNY) – A man has died after the golf cart he was driving was struck by a pickup truck in the town of Alexandria. That’s according to State Police.
Just after 2:40 p.m. Tuesday, State Police responded to a crash on State Route 12 near Pinehurst Road.
Police say a golf cart was attempting to cross the road when it was hit by a Ford F-150 heading south on State Route 12.
The driver of the golf cart was taken to River Hospital and later died.
In addition to State Police, Alexandria Bay Fire Department, Alexandria Bay Ambulance, and Thousand Island Emergency Rescue Service (TIERS) responded to the scene.
The investigation is still ongoing. New York State Police is asking anyone who may have seen the crash to contact 315-366-6000.
