A number of addiction support groups sent a letter to New York Gov. Kathy Hochul calling for the inclusion of a provision in the state budget to cap the cost-sharing for outpatient substance use disorder treatment to just $250 per episode of care.

Joining Capital Tonight Tuesday to discuss the cap and other efforts to combat addiction in the Empire State is Rob Kent, president of Kent Strategic Advisors. He also served at both the state and federal levels in the state Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) and the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy, respectively.
