BENNINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A jury has found a New York man guilty of first-degree murder in a 2022 shooting in Vermont.
On Monday, jurors convicted Elliot Russell, 49, in the shooting death of Ulysses Ivey.
Prosecutors said Russell lured Ivey to a Green Mountain Power substation in Bennington and shot him over a woman.
Ivey called 911 moments after he was shot and identified Russell as the shooter in that call. He later died of his injuries.
Russell could face life in prison. He will be sentenced in August.
