NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) — A person was injured after debris fell from an overpass along the Cross Bronx Expressway on Wednesday morning, according to the FDNY.
The incident happened around 7:51 a.m. at Exit 1C.

Fire officials received a report of a person struck by the falling debris. The individual was transported to a local hospital.
Sources say debris reportedly fell over a westbound lane, forcing the westbound lanes leading to the lower level of the George Washington Bridge to close.
New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill announced that the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey will ensure roadways are safe and will undertake necessary repairs immediately.
