ROCHESTER, N.Y. — New York State is making credits available for small businesses to buy extreme heat equipment to keep workers cool.
First available in 2025, the “Extreme Heat Equipment Credit,” gives businesses a credit of up to $1,000 to put toward Personal Protective Equipment such as things like fans, ventilated hats, cooling vests, and more.
In order to qualify, the business must have less than ten employees in areas such as manufacturing, warehousing, carpentry, landscaping, and farming. They must also have an online account with the New York State Insurance Fund. (NYSIF)
