New York man attacked neighbor with leaf blower, police say

An Essex County man was arrested on Saturday after he allegedly attacked his neighbor with a leaf blower. New York State Police said Sean Bavis, 43, of Wilmington was looking in one of his neighbor’s windows on Springfield Road when the victim came out to confront him.That’s when police said Bavis hit them in the face with the leaf blower.The victim was able to call police, who arrived and arrested Bavis on charges of assault and criminal possession of a weapon.He appeared before a judge and was ordered held. Bavis was eventually released after posting bail. He is due back in court at a later date.
