Livonia, La. (WAFB) – In a heartfelt announcement, Patrick Queen has introduced the first annual Patrick Queen’s Level Up 6IX Athletic Scholarship for the 2025–2026 school year, aimed at recognizing and supporting student-athletes who exemplify dedication, perseverance, discipline, and a genuine passion for sports.
The inaugural recipients of the Patrick Queen’s Level Up 6IX Athletic Scholarship are Damarion Douglas and Christopher Nelson, both exemplary students from Livonia High School. Patrick also recognized Emma Sparks with an Honorary Athletic Scholarship for her dedication and support to the athletic department.

Additionally, Parris Hayes, Tyson Cole, Daniela Corona, and Jilyan Andre from The Stem Magnet Academy of Pointe Coupee were honored for their hard work and commitment.
Patrick Queen, a 2017 graduate of Livonia High School and a proud member of the school’s 2014 LHSAA State Championship team, has made a significant impact in the world of athletics. He earned a full athletic scholarship to Louisiana State University, where he emerged as a standout linebacker for the Tigers, culminating in being named Defensive MVP of the 2019 National Championship Game. Following his stellar college career, Queen was selected in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens and currently plays as the defensive play-caller for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Understanding the challenges young athletes face, Queen is committed to giving back to his community and urging future generations to strive for excellence both on and off the field. Queen expressed that the scholarship is not just about athletic talent; it represents the hard work, sacrifice, and leadership necessary to pursue one’s dreams. He hopes to inspire students to remain focused and confident in their abilities, regardless of the hurdles they face.
This initiative not only highlights Queen’s achievements but also underscores his deep commitment to fostering the next generation of leaders and athletes. As the scholarship continues to grow in future years, Queen hopes to inspire even more students to pursue their passions in both athletics and academics.
