UPPER WEST SIDE, Manhattan (WABC) — Two people were killed after multiple pedestrians were struck by an out-of-control driver on Manhattan’s Upper West Side on Friday.

It happened at 996 Amsterdam Ave. between West 109th Street and Cathedral Avenue around 6 p.m.

Police say an elderly man lost control of his vehicle and struck multiple pedestrians on the sidewalk.

They say two people were killed.

No arrests have been made so far.

The investigation is ongoing.
