It’s essentially a holiday weekend for baseball fans across New York City.
The first Subway Series of the summer begins Friday night as the New York Yankees and New York Mets meet at Citi Field with bragging rights on the line.
Ahead of the rivalry matchup, sports fans can find plenty of nostalgia inside CollectibleXchange, a sports memorabilia business run by Brandon Steiner.

The shop features signed jerseys, baseball cards, stadium memorabilia and rare collectibles from Yankees and Mets history
Steiner, the founder of Steiner Sports, now oversees the Yonkers shop where collectibles are bought, sold, authenticated and displayed, and nearly every corner is packed with New York baseball history.
Autographed jerseys, including those signed by Mike Piazza and Derek Jeter, line the walls. Plus, a Metallica album signed by the Yankees Mariano Rivera, a nod to his famous entrance song.
Fans can also spot other memorabilia tied to some of the biggest names in baseball history, including David Wright.
“You got the game-used dirt from Shea Stadium,” Steiner said, showing off part of the collection.
Among the most eye-catching pieces are seats from the original Yankee Stadium and a seat-back salvaged from Shea Stadium.
And for baseball card collectors, Steiner’s shop contains millions of cards, offering fans a chance to relive decades of Subway Series history.
