BROOKLYN BRIDGE PARK – A BODY WAS discovered floating in the water off of Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Pier 5 on Friday, PIX 11 News reports.
A 911 call was placed about a man in the water at around 8:30 a.m. on Friday, police said. Officers responding found him floating unresponsive around 30 feet away from the pier. He was declared dead at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing, and the medical examiner will determine the cause of death. Authorities have not yet released the man’s identity.
