NEW YORK (PIX11) — An Air Quality Health Advisory has been issued from 11:00 a.m. through 11:00 p.m. Monday, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation announced.
Officials are warning of high levels of ozone, which is produced when sunlight reacts with automobile exhaust and industrial emissions.
Exposure to high levels of ozone can affect very young people and those with preexisting respiratory conditions such as asthma and heart disease.

The advisory is for New York City, Rockland, and Westchester counties.
