ROME, Ga. (KLTV) – Former Van Vandal Hoss Brewer tossed a scoreless inning of relief in Brooklyn’s 8-5 win over Rome on Friday.
The right-hander has a 4.50 ERA and 15 strikeouts in 14 innings this season.
Brewer entered the game in the eighth inning. He forced Cody Miller to line out, Colby Jones to strike out swinging and Logan Baunschweig to ground out to third for a 1-2-3 inning.
Brewer threw nine pitches, six for strikes.
Brooklyn (10-28) returns home Tuesday to begin a series against Hudson Valley (18-20).
