The annual Loisaida Festival returns to Avenue C this weekend.

The vibrant event includes live music, crafts, food vendors, and more, while celebrating the diverse heritage of the Lower East Side.

Elizabeth Colón, co-founder of the festival, and David “Daso” Soto, performer and community organizer, joined “The Rush Hour” on Monday to preview the festivities.

“The beauty of it is we are celebrating the beauty of the Puerto Rican people and [transforming] the community that was forgotten,” Soto reflected.
