Excitement is building across Windsor as the highly anticipated grand opening of Queen’s Dock in the west end of the city is set to take place this Wednesday at 11:00am.

Located along the scenic Detroit River waterfront in the historic Sandwich Town district, the revitalized Queen’s Dock Pier promises to become one of the city’s newest gathering spaces for residents, families, and visitors alike.

Featuring a striking cantilevered lookout pier, beautiful public spaces, and Indigenous-inspired design elements, the project celebrates Windsor’s rich waterfront heritage while creating a vibrant destination for recreation, tourism, and community events.

Developed through partnerships involving the Windsor Port Authority, St. Clair College, and Caldwell First Nation, Queen’s Dock represents a major investment in West Windsor’s future and waterfront accessibility.

The grand opening is expected to draw significant attention as locals gather to experience the new riverfront landmark and celebrate another exciting chapter in Windsor’s ongoing revitalization.
