Man, 73, found shot dead by lake in Queens park

A 73-year-old man was found shot to death by a lake inside a Queens park, police said Tuesday.

It wasn’t immediately clear if Albert Itzkowitz was the victim of a crime, an NYPD spokesman said.

The victim was found dead from gunshot wounds in his neck and back just before 5 p.m. Monday near Kissena Lake in Kissena Park.

A weapon wasn’t found at the scene, cops said.

Itzkowitz lived more than two miles away in Kew Gardens Hills.

Cops were awaiting the results of an autopsy to determine just how Itzkowitz died, officials said.
