The third annual race at Astoria Park will bring the Western Queens community together for a good cause. The course will consist of three loops, with the finish line located roughly 0.35 miles from the start line, near the intersection of 19th St. and 24th Rd. The registration fee is divided into two tiers — $38.98 for participants under 18 and $54.50 for adult participants as of Tuesday, May 5.

This year, the proceeds will benefit Working In Support of Education, a 501(c)(3) non-profit committed to economic mobility improvements through financial literacy and career/academic development programs for youth and at-risk adults. A slew of refreshments will also be provided by Nuun Hydration and WaterBoy.

Whether you’re running or walking, a celebration of movement is set at Baisley Pond Park. The registration fee is $10 – $28.52. A limited run of t-shirts will be available to participants, along with music, photos and community fun.
