DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN — THE 29TH ANNUAL Brooklyn Film Festival begins screenings on May 29, with 130 films lined up for the week-long festival at BRIC Arts Media House, along with screening locations in Greenpoint and Williamsburg. This year’s theme is “The Invitation.”
Twenty-six films will have their world premiere at the festival, including “A Mosquito in the Ear” directed by Nicola Rinciari and starring Jake Lacy, Nazanin Boniadi and Ruhi Pal, which will open the festival. The festival will also incorporate industry events for filmmakers and enthusiasts as BFF Exchange, which will take place at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, as well as special events with E-Flux, Vice and Brooklyn Museum.
