NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) — Mayor Zohran Mamdani and New York City Emergency Management activated the City’s Heat Emergency Plan as temperatures are once again forecasted to break into the 90s.

Christina Farrell, the Commissioner of the New York City Emergency Management Department, outlines the city’s plans, which include opening cooling centers and expanding outreach to residents at the highest risk.
