A 40-year-old woman’s lifeless body was found lying beneath a sheet under a Bronx overpass on Wednesday, according to law enforcement sources.
A passerby flagged down police after spotting feet sticking out from the sheet on Webster Ave. underneath the Cross Bronx Expressway in the West Bronx around 12:38 p.m., police said.
Police later determined the woman’s body had been dragged there from behind the Casa Del Mar Hall restaurant located about a block away, sources said.
Investigators are working to identify the dead woman, cop said.
It was not immediately clear whether any criminality was involved.
The city’s medical examiner will determine what caused the woman’s death.
