MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) – A motorcycle rider has been cited in connection with a Sunday afternoon collision with a car driven by the Manhattan mayor in Riley County, officials announced late Thursday morning.
The injury crash was reported around 12:26 p.m. Sunday in the 400 block of Zeandale Road, just southeast of Manhattan.
Riley County police officers responding to the scene found that a 2019 Yamaha Bolt motorcycle, ridden by Thaddues Thore, 21, of Manhattan, had collided with a 2022 Toyota Venza driven by Susan Adamchak, 72, of Manhattan.

Thore was transported to Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan for a serious leg injury, Riley County Police officials said.
Thore was issued a citation for driving too fast for conditions.
There were no reports of injuries to Adamchak, who is the mayor of Manhattan.
