A new sprayground is now open at the Buffalo Harbor State Park on Fuhrmann Boulevard.
The 6,700-square-foot space to cool down and play at includes 162 water toys like spray jets, misting arches, a dumping bucket and a fountain. The sprayground will be open 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. daily, weather permitting.

Gov. Kathy Hochul was in town Thursday to turn the water on.
“This is our moment, and I want to make sure the children that grow up now will never have to know the past — they don’t need to know what this looked like. We had to endure years of waiting,” Hochul said. “The future is now. Buffalo’s future has arrived.”
Hochul also announced other improvements, including a 13-foot-tall buffalo art sculpture, an expanded accessible playground and a dedicated space for food trucks.

“The only State Park in the City of Buffalo is a world-class destination to experience the beauty of our Lake Erie waterfront, and I encourage visitors throughout Western New York and beyond to come out and enjoy it this summer,” Hochul said in a statement.
