QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) — If you rely on the No. 7 subway line, be prepared for travel disruptions for Memorial Day weekend.
The MTA has announced that service will be limited through Monday morning, and that trains will not run between Manhattan and Queens.

Starting at 11:30 p.m. on Friday, trains will only run every 10 minutes between Flushing-Main Street and 74th Street-Broadway.
The MTA stated the service changes will allow for station improvements.
A handful of subway stations on the No. 7 line have been partially closed since 2025 for structural improvements, including 33rd Street-Rawson Street, 46th Street-Bliss Street, 52nd Street, and 69th Street.
So far this year, the stations have been open only to Queens-bound trains. Stations were initially slated to reopen at the end of quarter 1 in 2026; however, that deadline was extended.

Commuters can use the following travel alternatives during Memorial Day weekend:
Free T320 shuttle buses will make local stops between 74th Street-Broadway and Queensboro Plaza
Free T323 shuttle buses will make local stops between Queensboro Plaza and Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue
Free T260 shuttle buses will run overnight in Manhattan between Times Square-42nd Street and 34th Street-Hudson Yards
For travel between Queens and Manhattan, commuters can take the E, F, and R trains
