QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) — A 27-year-old woman was punched in the face and a 59-year-old man had his ankle broken during a robbery spree in Queens, according to the NYPD.

Police are still searching for the two people they believe are responsible.

A total of five robberies were committed between April 7 and May 12, primarily in Jamaica, Queens, according to the NYPD. One robbery occurred near Rochdale.

According to police, in three of the cases, the victim was first approached by one or both of the men on a bicycle, then had their necklace or chain snatched from their necks. In another incident, a woman was punched in the face before having her necklace taken, police say.

In the fifth incident, a man broke his ankle after being shoved to the ground, then had is cellphone and some cash taken, according to police. The man was taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in stable condition. Two other victims sustained minor injuries.
