RED HOOK – MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND brings back a free weekend ferry service to Red Hook’s IKEA Brooklyn from Midtown and Lower Manhattan.
The ferry, operated by NY Waterway, will run on Saturdays and Sundays (along with Memorial Day Monday), providing service between the Midtown/West 39th Street and Pier 11/Wall Street terminals and IKEA Brooklyn. The first departure leaves Midtown at 10:30 a.m.; the final departure leaves IKEA at 6:20 p.m.
During the trip, ferry riders can enjoy fresh-air cabins and open-air decks with panoramic views of the city and landmarks like the Statue of Liberty.
NY Waterway also provides shuttle buses that go to and from the Midtown Terminal via West 57th, West 50th, West 42nd and West 34th streets and 12th Avenue. Full service schedules can be found at nywaterway.com/IKEA.
