WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) – Two New York City men have been arrested on drug charges after police searched a Massena apartment.
Village police charged Karieem Williams, 33, and Jamel Dingle, 27, with felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
They also face a misdemeanor count of criminal possession of drug paraphernalia.
Village police said the suspects were arrested during a search of an apartment at 87 Water Street on Monday.
According to court documents, Williams and Dingle possessed 4.64 ounces of cocaine, packaging material and an electronic scale.
The men were arraigned in Massena Town Court and are being held in the St. Lawrence County jail without bail.
Police said more arrests are expected as their investigation continues.
The county’s drug task force and sheriff’s office, state police and the Ogdensburg Police Department assisted village police.
