Fire crews are working to extinguish a tyre fire at a business in Logan, south of Brisbane.
Emergency services were called to a tyre shop on Queens Road in Kingston just after 1pm this afternoon after reports a blaze had broken out.
Police have made an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA), with the exclusion zone covering Queens Road from Meakin Road to Allan Street and between Plain Street and Scrubby Creek.
The Queensland Fire Department (QFD) said more than a dozen units have been mobilised, including specialty teams.
The fire was contained by 2:30pm.
One person has been taken to hospital with leg and hand burns, and several cars have been destroyed.

Thick black smoke is billowing from the site, with the QFD urging people to avoid the area, stay inside, and keep doors and windows closed.
Queens Road is closed in both directions between Hart Street and Meakin Road.
