Cops in Woodhaven on Wednesday morning blocked off part of Forest Park Drive, from just after the entrance to the eastbound Jackie Robinson Parkway to Myrtle Avenue, after a body was discovered.
Police told the Chronicle that at around 7:43 a.m., officers responded to a 911 call reporting a person needing aid at Forest Park Drive, but cops did not detail where specifically on the road.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a 41-year-old female, unconscious and unresponsive, authorities said. She was declared deceased at the scene, cops said, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
The woman’s identity was not immediately made public.
Police sources told the Chronicle that no foul play was expected, but that the investigation is ongoing.
