Serena Williams is apparently ready to make her return to the WTA Tour.
The Athletic reported in December that Williams reentered the registered testing pool for the International Tennis Integrity Agency. That news immediately sparked rumors about her coming out of retirement. However, she needs to be in the testing pool for six months in order to be eligible for WTA Tour events.

Well, the 23-time Grand Slam champion plans on returning to tennis this summer at the 2026 Queen’s Club Championships this June.
According to Telegraph, the current plan is for Williams to request a wild card to play doubles with Victoria Mboko.

Has Serena said anything about her rumored comeback?
Believe it or not, Williams was asked about her future in tennis while on NBC’s “Today.” She was unwilling to confirm or deny the rumors.

“I mean, really, are you asking this on the ‘Today’ show? Oh, my goodness,” Williams said. “I’m just having fun and enjoying my life right now. That’s not a yes or no. I don’t know. I’m just gonna see what happens.”
Williams, 44, hasn’t competed in a match since her loss to Ajla Tomljanovic in the third round of the 2022 US Open.
