TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – You can join a wild evening at Manhattan’s Sunset Zoo.
Sarah Hancock with Friends of the Sunset Zoo and zoo educator Arli Shults visited Eye on NE Kansas to share details about the 19th annual Wine in the Wild.
This year’s theme is Around the World, inspired by the international soccer tournament coming to Kansas City. Guests will be able to stroll the zoo grounds while sampling wines from around the globe, as well as local selections.
Guests also can meet some of the zoo’s education animals. Arli brought Bob, the ornate box turtle, to the Red Couch as one example.
Wine in the Wild runs 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, June 6 at Sunset Zoo in Manhattan. Tickets are $65 for general admission, or $100 for access to a VIP reception that kicks off at 5:30 p.m.
Tickets are available at SunsetZoo.com/Wine. Money raised supports the zoo’s conservation efforts.
