Jontae Lee was reported missing in March. Police announced Thursday his body was found.

BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. — A man who’s been missing for more than two months has been found dead, and a suspect has been taken into custody.

Jontae Lee was reported missing on March 11 from Brooklyn Park. Police say that around midnight, officers had responded to an intersection on a report of a disturbance involving Lee and his friend. Lee had walked away from that scene on foot, but when he never returned home he was reported as missing.

Police say they began extensive search efforts in the area with the help of multiple agencies, including the BCA. On May 26, a drainage pond was searched and Lee’s body was discovered.

On Thursday, Brooklyn Park Police say the friend from that disturbance call on March 11 was arrested on probable cause of murder.
