ROCHESTER 8, SYRACUSE 4 (BOX)
A thee run home run by Andy Ibanez in the top of the first inning put Syracuse out to quality lead right away, but Zach Thornton immediately gave it back with a four run bottom of the first. Kevin Parada would tie it at four with a single in the fourth, but Thornton would surrender three more runs in the fifth, a deficit that proved to be too much for the Mets.
PORTLAND 6, BINGHAMTON 2 (BOX)
An error gave Binghamton a 1-0 lead in the first, though runs in the second and third saw Portland take a 2-1 lead going into the fourth. A Nick Lorusso ground out tied the game at two, but those were the end of the good times for the Rumble Ponies. A run in the fifth and three in the sixth by Portland put the game to bed in the middle innings.
The most important part of the game by far was Jorge Polanco starting his rehab assignment, and hitting a 100 mph single during the game.
WILMINGTON 7, BROOKLYN 6 (BOX)
Brooklyn and Wilmington had a back and forth game. with the two teams trading leads quite often. Wilmington ran out to a 1-0 lead, one Brooklyn would erase with a two run bottom of the first. The teams would trade places in the second, as the Blue Rocks scored two in the second, and the Cyclones scored one in the bottom of the frame.
Brooklyn took a 4-3 lead in the bottom of the third, and both teams would score a run in the fourth to make it 5-4 Cyclones. Wilmington would score two in the seventh to make it 6-5, Brooklyn would once again tie it in the bottom of the frame, and Wilmington would finally take a permanent lead in the eighth.
BRADENTON 6, ST. LUCIE 4 (BOX)
Two innings sunk St, Lucie in this loss. They surrendered three runs in the fourth and three runs in the fifth, which erased their 2-0 lead and turned it into a deficit that was too big to catch up. They scattered eight hits and score singular runs in the first, third, fifth and sixth, but simply did not have the big innings that Bradenton did.
