It is the day many people across Western New York have been waiting for, Christmas music is officially back in the 716.

The New 96.1 Flips To All Christmas Music Format

As of midnight on November 1st, the New 96.1 has become Buffalo’s Official Christmas station and will be playing all Christmas music until Christmas Day and beyond.

The station kicked off the switch with the Queen of Christmas herself, Mariah Carey, and “All I Want For Christmas.”  She was followed up by songs from Andy Williams, Dan & Shay, and Michael Bublé.

The New 96.1 will play a mix of traditional and contemporary Christmas music from Frank Sianta, Pentatonix, Bing Crosby, Madonna, and Andy Williams.

You will also hear fan favorites like Domic the Donkey, Snowmieser, and the 12 Pains of Christmas.

The New 96.1 is the only station in Western New York that is playing all Christmas music on the radio. So make the switch and set your presets in the car, at home, and in the office to hear all your favorite Christmas music all season long.
