FDNY fire marshals are working to determine what caused a blaze that lit up the night sky in Jackson Heights on Thursday after residents reportedly heard an explosion in a detached garage in the rear of 35-19 90th St.
The FDNY received a 911 call just before 10:30 p.m. on May 28 regarding a fire in the one-story garage and dispatched 21 units including 79 firefighters and EMS personnel to the block between 35th Avenue and 37th Avenue.

No injuries were reported and the fire was brought under control at 11:18 p.m., according to FDNY.
