JACKSON HEIGHTS, Queens (PIX11) — A large piece of a building facade in Queens fell onto a teen on Saturday, according to officials.
The incident happened around 12:08 pm at 37-51 82nd St, according to authorities.

A witness told PIX11 that the 14-year-old boy was walking with his parents when he was struck in the head by the large piece of concrete.
Daisy Narula was inside the building when the incident happened.
“I did hear when the block fell on the top of the mesh and then just hit the kid’s head, said Narula. “He looked like he was about to pass out. They sat him down, but he wasn’t at his best.”
The teen was transported to a local hospital, listed in stable condition.
The owner of the two-story building was instructed to build a sidewalk shed around the building by the Department of Buildings and was also issued a violation for their failure to maintain the facade.
