CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) – On the final night of Festivall people took sight-seeing cruises aboard the River Queen sternwheeler.
After a six year hiatus, the River Queen has been docked over at the Haddad Riverfront Park these last 5 days of Festivall — taking guests up and down the Kanawha river as they grab a drink or a bite to eat. These cruises are about 1-hour & 30 min. and feature live commentary from River Queen Captain Mike Krollmann.
“So we have a lot of people that have never been on board. A lot of people that said this is my first time on a boat. They love it. You know a lot of them are scared at first but they relax.” said Captain Krollmann. “It’s just a good time for it new experience for people that have never been on a boat before so it’s really fun to watch their experience”
Captain Krollman says the river Queens final voyage for Festivall was the murder mystery experience: “Murder on the River Queen”.
