A landlord in Longwood tells News 12 he found a man dead with a knife in his chest.
The NYPD says officers responded to 1006 Longfellow Ave. just before 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The landlord says they were doing some renovations in the building when construction workers started to notice a foul smell. Days later, he found the tenant dead inside his apartment.
Police have not released any additional information about the man’s death as of Wednesday evening.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
