Los Angeles-based band Terror hit the road this spring after releasing their ninth studio album, titled Still Suffer, with Flatspot records, headlining day two of the BNB Bowl, held in NYC at the Brooklyn Monarch on Memorial Day weekend 2026. This monumental NYHC event is put on year after year and showcases legacy names and newcomers to the scene alike.

The two-day event kicked off on May 22 with Vision of Disorder, Madball, Killing Time, Raw Brigade, Subterfuge, Life’s End, and Grael. While I wasn’t in attendance the first night, I overheard Vision of Disorder played their first show without a barricade in a long time and delivered an outstanding performance.

On May 23, Terror were joined by their touring support from End It, Pain of Truth, and Start Today, in addition to three other bands from the East Coast. Frothing Mad from NYC kicked off the night, followed by Cruel Hand from Maine and Negative Force from New Jersey.

Terror’s newest album is one about persistence and enduring the insufferable—a raw and truthful display of passion through trial and tribulations that clearly has captivated fans new and old. I really loved the set, they closed out the night on a strong note with Keepers of The Faith, a rather poetic and intentional choice.

With each set the stage got more action packed, Pain of Truth had a few guest features alongside many crowd participants. Finally Terror went on and the crowd was practically spilling over the stage, in true NYHC fashion. Terror’s newest album is one about persistence and enduring the insufferable. The hardcore community and presence in New York is stronger than ever, legacy events like this never fail to amaze me to be a witness to.
