Oklahoma! co-stars Tony nominee Damon Daunno and Tony winner Ali Stroker have joined Transport Group’s upcoming celebration of Liza Minnelli‘s 80th birthday this summer at
Carnegie Hall. Also joining the festivities are Pulitzer Prize and Tony winner Doug Wright (I Am My Own Wife) as guest speaker and Emmy winner Mo Rocca (CBS Sunday Morning) and Tony, Grammy, and Emmy winner Marc Shaiman (Hairspray) as hosts.

Entitled Liza! at 80: A Celebration in Song and Dance, the concert is set for June 25 at 8 PM, the 12th presentation in the Off-Broadway company’s Anne L.
Bernstein Concert Series.

The starry lineup also includes the previously reported Kate Baldwin (Hello, Dolly!), Lauren Blackman (Ragtime), Mario Cantone (Assassins), Tony winner Kristin Chenoweth (Wicked), Nikki Renée Daniels (Once Upon a Mattress), Dez Duron (Maybe Happy Ending), Claybourne Elder (Company), two-time Tony winner Katie Finneran (Noises Off; Promises, Promises), Robyn Hurder (Moulin Rouge!), Tony winner Beth Leavel (The Drowsy Chaperone), Tony winner Bonnie Milligan (Kimberly Akimbo), two-time Tony winner Donna Murphy (Passion, The King and I), Lauren Patten (Jagged Little Pill), Khori Petinaud (Just in Time), Andrew Rannells (The Book of Mormon), Elizabeth Stanley (Jagged Little Pill), Alysha Umphress (On the Town), Jessica Vosk (Beaches), Marisha Wallace (Guys and Dolls), and Natalie Weiss (American Idol).

Guest speakers will also include Emmy winner Candice Bergen (Murphy Brown), Jim Caruso (Liza’s at The Palace!), Nicole Fosse (Fosse/Verdon), Emmy and Grammy winner Kathy Griffin, Special Tony recipient Julie Halston, Isaac Mizrahi (Chicago), and five-time Tony winner Susan Stroman (The Producers, Contact).

The evening will be directed by Transport Group Artistic Director
Jack Cummings III, with musical direction by Joey Chancey. Hannah Oren
serves as creative producer and Merri Sugarman serves as casting
director, with
original arrangements by Chancey and orchestrations by Adam Jones.
Additional choreography is by Nancy Renée Braun and Alex Sanchez. The
script will be written by EGOT winner Minnelli, created with Oren.

The all-star tribute concert will celebrate Minnelli’s
more-than-60-year career and feature musical selections spanning her
entire body of work with a focus on her collaborations with John Kander
and Fred Ebb, including Cabaret; The Rink; Liza With a “Z”; and New York, New York. The concert also celebrates the recent publication of her memoir, Kids, Wait Till You Hear This! Each attendee will receive a copy of the memoir, autographed by Minnelli.

Concertgoers can also expect backstage stories and anecdotes as well
as selections of Bob Fosse‘s choreography reconstructed by The Verdon
Fosse Legacy.

“I
am grateful and honored that my collaborators and career are being
celebrated at Carnegie Hall this summer. Transport Group is a brilliant
creative force, and their tributes are always filled with equal measures
of talent, heart, and music. I believe this will be a magical evening,
and I hope to see all my New York friends at the performance. It was
planned as a birthday party for me, and my calendar made June 25th the
perfect date. Turning 80 means you celebrate your birthday as long as
possible,” said Minnelli, whose 80th birthday was March 12, in an earlier statement.

“We are incredibly honored to celebrate Liza Minnelli’s extraordinary artistry and career,” added Cummings III. “Ms. Minnelli
has inspired countless artists and audiences alike with her
groundbreaking work, and this evening will be our chance to say a
tremendous thank-you for everything she has given us.”

The concert will be Transport Group’s third concert at Carnegie Hall, following sold-out benefit performances of Hello, Dolly! in 2025 and Follies in 2024.

The evening is produced in collaboration with Carrberry Companies and v2 Entertainment Group.
