Thursday marked the last day in office for retiring state Sen. Michael Gianaris.

On Wednesday, lawmakers passed a constitutional amendment that would allow mid-decade redistricting in 2028 and make gerrymandering in New York easier in an effort to combat Republican gerrymandering in other states.

Gianaris joined NY1’s Bobbys Cuza on “Inside City Hall” Thursday to discuss his more than 20-year career in office and the legislature’s final day in session this year.
