MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) – A Manhattan man was issued a citation Thursday following a vehicle-bicycle collision.
According to the Riley County Police Department, officers responded to a report of an injury accident around 10:45 a.m. on Thursday near North Juliette Avenue and Leavenworth Street.
When officers arrived, they learned that a 2015 Toyota Prius had struck a bicycle in the intersection.
The bicyclist, identified as Christopher Korte, 27, of Manhattan, was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.
The Toyota driver, identified as Zainab Shinwari, 36, of Manhattan, was issued a citation for failure to yield the right of way at a stop sign.
