CIVIC CENTER, Manhattan (PIX11) — See New York City in a new way from the cupola of a historic Manhattan building.
Free reservations are open for Centre 360, a new panoramic overlook at the top of the David N. Dinkins Municipal Building in Lower Manhattan. The first public viewing will coincide with the first FIFA World Cup match on June 11.

The new experience will allow intimate groups of 5 to walk the full circle of the cupola balcony, offering unique views of New York City’s landmark buildings, bridges and all five boroughs, from 500 feet above street level.
Named for the city’s first Black mayor, the David N. Dinkins Municipal Building will open for public viewing for the first time since 1914 and is the only place where a visitor can stand directly beneath the city’s 25-foot copper statue called the Civic Fame.
“It shouldn’t cost a cent to take in the unbeatable views of the city we call home,” said New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani. “After a $6 million restoration, we’re opening the doors of this iconic building and inviting New Yorkers and visitors to see the city from a new perspective.”
The opening comes after an investment to repair the building’s cupola, install glass safety barriers and restore the rotunda landing.

Viewing sessions will take place eight times between Monday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Reservations can be made online.
