There might be two reasons to visit Earlville Saturday night. You may remember the “Queen of Hearts” contest that’s been building since mid-May. And, organizers say, one way or another, there will be a big Queen of Hearts winner drawn this Saturday night in Earlville.
With the pot exceeding a million dollars, it means they will keep drawing cards at The Lounge until they find the Queen of Hearts. Whoever is the winner, will get 60 percent of the huge pot as their winnings.
This is the second straight year the Queen of Hearts drawing in Earlville has ended in a drawdown with ticket sales pushing the pot to over a million dollars. Organizers say last week alone, they had $95k in ticket sales.

And, the town is celebrating Lions Fest this weekend. They’ll be live music from “Snapshot” and “Wreckin Dixie” Saturday night. A parade wraps up the big weekend at noon Sunday.
