STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — It’s going to be quite the busy weekend across New York City.
Several scheduled events are expected to result in road closures that could impact travel for residents making their way throughout the five boroughs.
One such event slated to take place on Saturday is the 8th Avenue Midtown Fair. This event is expected to shut down an extensive stretch of 8th Avenue in Manhattan.
On Sunday, the Philippine Independence Day Celebration Parade will close several streets in Manhattan for a period of time.
As noted in an advisory from the NYPD, the closures will be at the discretion of police.
Here’s a look at the upcoming road closures:
Saturday, June 68th Avenue Midtown Fair in Manhattan
This event will take place on 8th Avenue between 42nd Street and 55th Street.
2026 (NYRR) Mastercard New York Mini 10K in Manhattan
Formation will take place in Central Park West between 95th Street and 88th Street.
The route will run along Central Park West between 66th Street and West 88th Street.
Dispersal will take place on Central Park West between 71st Street and West 72nd Street.
St. Nicholas Avenue Fair in Manhattan
The fair will take place on St Nicholas Avenue between 181st Street and 188th Street.
Turtle Bay Festival in Manhattan
The festival will take place on Lexington Avenue between 42nd Street and 54th Street.
LIC Waterfront 5K in Queens
Formation will take place on Center Boulevard between Borden Avenue and 50th Avenue.

The route will run along Madison Avenue between 27th Street and 38th Street.
Dispersal will be on 27th Street between 5th Avenue and Park Avenue.
