The annual James Beard Awards have recognized the best professionals in the culinary industry for nearly four decades.
Next week, the awards will once again honor chefs and restaurateurs from across the country, several of whom are located in New York City.
Dawn Padmore, the vice president of James Beard Awards, and two of the local nominees; Rasheeda Purdie, owner and chef of Ramen by Ra; and Ayesha Nurdjaja, executive chef and partner of Shukette; joined “The Rush Hour” on Monday to talk about the nominations.
