PARK SLOPE — PARK SLOPE WILL BE packed with Brooklyn Pride events on Saturday, starting with a morning 5K LGBTQ+ fun run through Prospect Park, followed by the 30th Annual Brooklyn Pride Multicultural Festival, spanning Union Street to Ninth Street on Fifth Avenue.

Capping off the day, the Brooklyn Pride Twilight Parade will take place at 7:30 p.m. along Fifth Avenue from Lincoln Place and Eighth Street. The street will be filled with organizations showing up to march in support of Brooklyn’s vibrant LGBTQ+ community. More details at brooklynpride.org.

Oh, how the neighborhood has changed: Park Slope’s legendary lesbian bar, Ginger’s, has had to cancel most of its Pride Month DJ events this year, after neighbors complained about the noise last year, Gothamist reports.
