DUMBO — WORLD CUP FANS visiting the Stripes Exchange space in the FIFA World Cup Fan Zone in Brooklyn Bridge Park on Sunday will experience the nostalgic vibe of the ‘94 World Cup games in North America, according to adidas, the zone’s sponsor. The Stripes Exchange space in the zone is branding Sunday as “Retro Day.” Demand for vintage and second-hand soccer shirts has exploded, according to Forbes.
The Stripes Exchange space will also be partnering with a variety of local organizations. On Sunday, the Exchange will join with Brooklyn-based Our Chess NYC, featuring interactive chess matches and tournaments that invite guests to play and connect. Our Chess NYC was founded in 2025 by activist and model Z, a member of adidas’ 2026 Creative Class.
