Stittville Fire Chief Sworn-in as President of New York State Association of Fire Chiefs

A local volunteer fire department chief was sworn in as the president of the New York State Association of Fire Chiefs on Saturday.

Chief William Owen III, who is the chief of the Stittville Fire Department, was installed as the organization’s president during their 120th conference and expo in Syracuse.

Owen’s father, William Owen Jr., served as president of the organization from 2008 until 2009.
