Your AIPAC is showing. The debate over U.S.-Israeli relations and related PAC spending has taken center stage in a combative primary for a prized New York City U.S. House seat and one of the most Jewish congressional districts in the country. Rep. Dan Goldman (D) has accepted the American Israel Public Affairs Committee’s (AIPAC) endorsement — but amid pressure from his progressive challenger, former city comptroller Brad Lander, Goldman has pledged to return the hundreds of thousands in AIPAC money given to him this cycle.
🧾 Still, May campaign finance records reviewed by The Lever’s Luke Goldstein show that Goldman accepted $55,000 from the Better Blue Fund, an apparent AIPAC front group that raises exclusively for candidates endorsed by the Israel lobby.
